They live and breathe in this airless world and there are moments when you can almost smell the fatigue. While there's little doubt that Zodiac will probably leave many viewers in a state of agitated stimulation — although deliberately elliptical, Zodiac is loaded with nightmarishly unshakeable scenes — I'm willing to bet it will hold up quite handsomely to repeated viewings. And that may be its most impressive feat. It makes you want to study it even more closely, in search of things you might have missed, trailing after leads that flash by in the relentless momentum of going nowhere fast.
