Problem with xecuter 3 mod xbox ver 1. Thread starter bioshake Start date Oct 16, I seemed to have inadvertantly made a change to my EEPROM which has 'zeroed' the last 3 values of my xbox MAC address and possibly changed some other values related serial number, key, etc. When I push the power button I get a red LED From the mod that after a few seconds turns blue but the xbox will not boot up. I can't get it to boot with the mod enabled or disabled into the MS dash.
If I hold the power button down, the LED will turn red and stay red, but still will not boot up. From here I have updated my xecuter BIOS to the latest version available but have had no luck getting it to boot.
I'm just looking for answers in terms of what can I can try or what my options are to get it working again: 1. Am I looking at having to use some 3rd party hardware to interface to fix it? Would it be easier just to start over from scratch with a new xbox and xfer everything?

Do you know what it was that you changed? Or was it a whole bunch of tweaks done together, one of which has caused a problem? Well essentially I packed it up for a trip and when I got to the destination it stopped working properly.
It's possible that it was because the dip switches got flipped and I didn't know or perhaps some cabling loose.. I was able to get it booting again by flashing different BIOS version, but the F: partition was reading '0' bytes and no folders where all my data was. My intention was only to browse to see what configuration options were available to see if I could resolve my problem, but somehow I must have accidentally changed settings i don't recall exactly because it's been awhile since this happened when I exited the config utility and voila..
Since then I've been trying to learn about the mod chip and system that I had no knowledge or hand in building in order to fix whatever could be wrong. From what I've gathered so far I think it's either an EEPROM config problem possibly verified because I know for a fact that my mac address has changed and possibly other settings.
But what I do not know is which settings could be changed in that utility that would make the xbox no longer boot up to the MS dash or otherwise.
Would a change in mac address stop it from booting up? Take it back to the guy I bought it from to take a look you say? I wish - He is no where to be found unfortunately. First off, the MAC address is just the physical device ID of the network interface - it should have no impact whatsoever on booting the xbox.
Have you popped the box open to check that everything is still connected OK? The Xecutor usually sits on a connector similar to an IDE interface - i.
Also, ensure that the various other connections d0, etc. I'm assuming that it's not been mounted using one of the solderless kits? Post by Heimdall » Tue Feb 26, am. Does if have anything written on it? Don't want to brick this console. XBox Admin, then File Manager , report back with what it says on the screen. I dont think you will be able to flash it to a newer bios if it won't support large harddisks you would probally be able to tsop flash it as is not a 1. Thanks for helping out.
