But while we got a lot of sort-of recipes for making components dried veggie puree curls, or pastry rounds , we didn't get advice on how to actual present a dish, which was why I bought it. Pile things on top? Lean the duck breast against the mash while drawing semi-circles of raspeberry sauce? Who kn I may have liked it better had it been called "How to Make Garnishes.
Who knows? I learn more about presentation by pausing episodes of Masterchef or Top Chef than I did from this book. An inspiration to professional cooks, but more geared toward home-cooks. Lots of ideas, info, step-by-step photos and readable instructions.
